Introduction. The HeliOps Panel of the HISWG will convene at the Joint Air Power Competence Centre (JAPCC), KALKAR, GERMANY between 04 – 08 Feb 2019. This meeting is scheduled to last until 1700 on 07 February 2019.
Purpose and Objectives. The intent of the meeting is to continue the revision of the ATP-49 into ATP-3.2.49. Specific objectives and desired outcomes are as follows:
- To review the ATP-3.2.49 Top Level document, version-4. The objective is to finish with a Final Draft (FD) of the ATP-3.2.49 Top Level document.
- To review the ATP-184.108.40.206, operational supplements initial versions. The objective is to start the review the initial version of the ATP-220.127.116.11.1, Mission Planning, to create a Working Draft, version 1. If time permits ATP-18.104.22.168.2 and ATP-22.214.171.124.3 can be discussed to create an initial version.
- To review terminology used within ATP-3.2.49. The desired output is that the reviewed terminology is clear, specific and in line with “NATOTerm”, the official NATO terminology database. The objective is to submit the approved terminology into the NATO terminology Program of the NATO Terminology Office (NTO).
Outline Work Schedule. The intent is to review key terminology, to prepare to submit to the NTO on Tuesday the 5th of February 2019. On Wednesday the 6th and Thursday the 7th of February 2019 the intention is to work on the ATP-3.2.49 Top Level document, to create a FD. When time permits the review of the ATP-126.96.36.199, Operational Supplements will be started. Possible changes on the work schedule will be posted on the forum in due time.
Responses. Addressees are requested to register their intent to participate using the format at Annex A. In order to allow detailed planning, to proceed responses are required NLT the 17th of January 2019.
