Joint Air and Space Power Network Meeting
29-30 September 2015 | JAPCC. From 29 to 30 September 2015, the Joint Air Power Competence Centre (JAPCC) hosted the second meeting of the “Joint Air and Space Power Network” (ASPN). ASPN is the forum wherein international organizations which are working to advance Joint Air and Space Power can develop synergies, solve common challenges, exchange programmes of work (PoW) and gain awareness of the key areas of effort within the Joint Air and Space Power community.
The meeting was chaired by the JAPCC Assistant Director, AirCdre Madalein Spit, and was attended by experts from the following organizations: Headquarters Allied Air Command (AIRCOM), Headquarters NATO – Armament and Aerospace Capabilities Directorate, European Union Military Staff (EUMS), European Defence Agency (EDA), European Air Group (EAG), European Air Transport Command (EATC), Competence Centre for Surface-Based Air and Missile Defence (CC SBAMD), The Analysis and Simulation Centre for Air Operations (CASPOA), and the JAPCC.
The participants presented current projects and discussed potential areas of cooperation, emphasizing the sharing of PoWs and the development of strategic level topics.
Agreement was reached amongst all participants that the forum should continue to constitute an engine for the advancement of critical thinking in Joint Air and space Power topics.
The next meeting of the forum is expected to be held in fall of 2016.
