Connecting the Alliance at Every Level

Taking the Digital High Ground with Multi-Tactical Datalink Integration

The JAPCC Directorate has approved the Tactical Data Link (TDL) campaign to support the TDL community. The campaign is introduced through a six-page tri-fold flyer designed for high-visibility events and senior leadership engagement. It reinforces the operational importance of Multi-TDL Networks (MTN) and Joint Data Network (JDN) training while highlighting the need for a credible, qualified workforce.

Operational
Impact

Secure, jam-resistant Tactical Data Links strengthen command and control and enable faster, informed decision-making.

Training
Evolution

Current Level 2–3 training supports workforce readiness; emerging Joint Data Network requirements indicate the need for a NATO Level 4 capability.

Alliance
Interoperability

Supported through the TDL flyer, JAPCC Journal resources, White Paper, and this TDL web page.

Strategic
Visibility

Demonstrates NATO investment in digital battlespace capability with measurable outcomes.

Connecting the Alliance at Every Level

Taking the Digital High Ground with Multi-Tactical Datalink Integration

In modern conflict, connectivity is decisive. This flyer explores how NATO is evolving Tactical Data Links into an intelligent, resilient digital backbone—linking sensors, shooters, and decision-makers across all domains. From AI-enabled networks to advanced training, success depends on interoperability, speed, and a skilled workforce. Discover why the future battlefield belongs to forces that can see, share, and act faster than their adversaries—and how the Alliance is preparing to take the digital high ground.

Optimising Multi-Tactical Datalinks in MDO – Benchmarking Pathways to Mission Success

This White Paper explores how trusted, resilient connectivity enables NATO forces to operate effectively across all domains. It highlights the vital role of multi-tactical data links in ensuring interoperability, accelerating decision-making, and maintaining mission effectiveness in contested environments. The paper identifies key gaps in systems, training, and coordination, and sets out practical pathways to strengthen Alliance-wide integration. It makes clear that future success depends on a fully connected force, supported by common standards, shared expertise, and a skilled workforce.

Training and Qualification

Seven crests are displayed: five representing the training providers, with two beneath denoting the Achievement
Stage. Together, they deliver manager, operator, and interface-specialist training that turns complex TDL systems
into mission-ready interoperability.
