Abstract

Modern air operations don’t happen in a vacuum — they depend on satellites, networks, and digital systems that adversaries are increasingly willing and able to target. The JAPCC’s Cyber and Space Exercise Playbook gives air planners and exercise designers a practical, operationally grounded toolkit for bringing those threats to life in joint military exercises. From GNSS jamming and ransomware on classified C2 systems to anti-satellite strikes and space weather events, the playbook’s 20 modular storylines let planners dial the pressure up or down to match any training audience.

Built around NATO doctrine and governance, it bridges the gap between technical domain knowledge and the operational decisions that commanders actually need to practice. If your exercises still treat cyber and space as background noise, this is the resource to change that.
