Taking the Digital High Ground with Multi-Tactical Datalink Integration

The JAPCC Directorate has approved the Tactical Data Link (TDL) campaign to support the TDL community. The campaign is introduced through a six-page tri-fold flyer designed for high-visibility events and senior leadership engagement. It reinforces the operational importance of Multi-TDL Networks (MTN) and Joint Data Network (JDN) training while highlighting the need for a credible, qualified workforce.

Optimising Multi-Tactical Datalinks in MDO – Benchmarking Pathways to Mission Success

This White Paper explores how trusted, resilient connectivity enables NATO forces to operate effectively across all domains. It highlights the vital role of multi-tactical data links in ensuring interoperability, accelerating decision-making, and maintaining mission effectiveness in contested environments. The paper identifies key gaps in systems, training, and coordination, and sets out practical pathways to strengthen Alliance-wide integration. It makes clear that future success depends on a fully connected force, supported by common standards, shared expertise, and a skilled workforce.

Training and Qualification

Seven crests are displayed: five representing the training providers, with two beneath denoting the Achievement
Stage. Together, they deliver manager, operator, and interface-specialist training that turns complex TDL systems
into mission-ready interoperability.
